Familiar both with studio and live work Jools has been playing bass, piano, BVs with "Feedback" recording alongside with producer Marco Lecci (B.B King, Tony Levin, Manhattan Transfer, Alex Britti, Giorgia) and performing at venues such as Beach Break Festival 2012, 100 Club, Camden Galleries, Water Rats, Pavillion Theater, Komedia and many more.
Currently playing bass for "Skygrounder", recording an EP with his side project "Steady Pitch" and filling the low-end in live shows for "People People" he is available for sessions and functions.
Jools Kelly is a strong, confident and reliable bass player. Groovy, creative and versatile, his playing is characterised by a unique rich tone and some tasteful licks that contribute to spice up his bass lines.
Originally a pianist, after undertaking classical studies (Mozart, Chopin, Bach) for 11 years, at the age of 17 he purchased his first bass with the intention to put on a band during high school.
After joining BIMM Brighton in 2010, where he graduated in Professional Musicianship during a 3 years course study (2:1), he had been playing with several bands.
Therefore his confidence with several music genres as Funk, Soul, Disco, Pop, Folk, Blues, Rock, Progressive.
